SHIBUYA AWARDS is pleased to announce that two works selected for the sponsor prize Abiko A-LIFE Prize in SHIBUYA AWARDS 2025 have been presented as a special prize exhibition at Shirakaba Art Festival ABIKO.

About the Abiko A-LIFE Prize
The Abiko A-LIFE Prize is one of the sponsor prizes of SHIBUYA AWARDS, designed to extend awarded artistic practices beyond the award exhibition itself and connect them with new cultural and regional contexts.
Through this opportunity, works first recognized in Shibuya are reintroduced within the setting of Abiko, where literature, nature, and local community form a distinct cultural landscape.
SHIBUGEI × Shirakaba Art Festival ABIKO
SHIBUGEI functions as a platform for cultural circulation between the city and the region — from Shibuya to Abiko, and from Abiko back to the city.
When artworks selected in an urban context encounter the literary, natural, and community-based environment of Abiko, they move beyond being simply exhibited objects. Instead, they become part of a renewed experience shaped by a different context and point of departure.
This collaboration demonstrates how SHIBUYA AWARDS and SHIBUGEI continue to create pathways for artistic visibility beyond the original award setting.
